RedBag for District Security

RedBag allows our teachers to know what to do, know what is going on and know how to get help in an emergency. They have told us that having emergency supplies in their classrooms and an easy way to communicate are essential tools they need to feel safe at school.

One capability we have using RedBag is the ability to evacuate classrooms during a lockdown without making entry.  With the secure room messaging feature, we can send a command to one or more classrooms to exit with their hands visible into a hallway. This reduces the need for law enforcement to make entry into
a classroom while there are students and teachers present.  It makes the room clearing process safer for all and less traumatic for students and teachers.

RedBag gives the ability to evacuate classrooms during a lockdown without making entry.

Our district is comprised of 66 schools, 55,000 students and 8,700 teachers and staff.  We have facilities across eight municipalities spread over 108 square miles.

We implemented our RedBag program in 2020 and have conducted over 300 successful drills and used it in responding to a number of false alarm incidents in our schools.

RedBag is a cache of emergency supplies located behind every lockable door in our district, combined with RedBagRadio, a comprehensive, simple to use emergency communications system that anyone can use by Scanning the attached QRCode.

RedBagRadio allows our teachers to know what to do, know what is going on and know how to get help in an emergency.  They have told us that having emergency supplies in their classrooms and an easy way to communicate are essential tools they need to feel safe at school.

During an Emergency RedBagRadio allows our security teams to know the locations of students, teachers and staff within a facility, know what they need, and know if they need help.

RedBagRadio gives us situational awareness so incident commanders can make informed decisions during a lockdown.

RedBag is a gamechanger.  We now have capabilities and visibility during a crisis that we have never had before.
